Boiled Skrei with Cured Ham

Skrei is an exclusive fish and served with the right things it can be a tasteful dinner. All you need is asparagus, cured ham and lemon oil to make a good meal.

  • Cut the Skrei in servings.

  • Bring water to the boil, add salt and vinegar, and add the Skrei when the water is boiling.

  • Turn down the heat and leave the fish to simmer in the water until it's cooked throught, 6-8 minutes. Don't let the water bubble-boil that can make the fish dry.

  • Fry ham on a dry pan until crispy.


  • Boil asparagus in lightly salted water with butter for 2-3 minutes.

  • Rinse them in cold water right after they have been taken out of the warm water and have some lemon juice over.

  • Mix lemon juice and olive oil right before serving.

Serve the Skrei with asparagus, cured ham and boiled potatoes on the side, with lemon oil around.
