Thai Fish Soup

Try a different twist on the typical Norwegian fish soup. A sweet and sour fish soup inspired by Thailand is perfect on a chilly day.

Procedure

  • Dice cod and slice scallions, cabbage and french beans. 

  • Chop the shallots, ginger, garlic and put it in a food processor along with coriander seeds, fish sauce, turmeric, whole pepper and salt. 

  • Fry the mix tender in oil in a casserole for approx. 4-5 minutes.

  • Add fish stock, lemon juice, brown sugar and let the soup simmer under a lid for approx. 20-30 minutes.

  • Add cod, scallions, cabbage and french beans to the soup and leave it simmer until the fish is cooked through, approx. 3-4 minutes. 

Serve the soup hot.
