Preparation
- Cut the cod into servings. 
- Bring water with salt to a boil, add the fish and bring to a boil. 
- Turn down the heat and let the fish poach until just cooked through, approx. 10 minutes. 
- Pan-fry bacon crispy. 
Carrot stew
- Cut carrot into dices and cook in lightly salted water for approx. 4 minutes. 
- Drain well. 
- Make a sauce by heating margarine in a pan, add flour and whisk in milk, a little at a time. 
- Stir well and bring to a boil between every time you add milk to make an even sauce. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes. 
- Add the carrot dices and taste with salt and nutmeg. 
Serve the cod with bacon, carrot stew and boiled potatoes.
